Glasgow is the biggest city in Scotland and one of the most up-and-coming places to live and visit in Europe. Our watches and leather goods can now be found here inside Glasgow’s popular 18Montrose<\/a> shop, in addition to our London store<\/a>. We asked lifestyle blogger John Robertson from The Everyday Man<\/a> to style a few of his favorite products for his Scottish urban lifestyle. “I’ve lived here all of my life, and I don’t think I will ever move away,” says John. “I have so much love for the city of Glasgow.” <\/p>\n

Ever since Shinola launched in the UK<\/a> a few years ago, John has been interested in collaborating with the American brand in some way. “The products from Shinola appeal to me as they are simple, well-made and timeless \u2014 a few things that I always look out for when I\u2019m investing in a new product,” he says. <\/p>\n

John says Glasgow is a creative hub that’s famous worldwide for its live music scene and home of the friendliest people you’ll encounter anywhere. His decision to pursue blogging, writing and styling full-time happened as a natural evolution, and started with him simply doing what he loved.  <\/p>\n

“I started writing The Everyday Man<\/a> around five or six years ago as a way for me to document some of my favorite things, brands, and places,” John says. “In the beginning it was just a bit of fun, a hobby really, but over time it’s become my full-time job.” <\/p>\n

“The Runwell Backpack<\/a> in spruce was my favorite item. Often I set up office in a coffee shop or co-working space, so a good backpack is an essential for me to carry around all of my tools: laptop, camera, notebook, etc.,” John says. “This is the perfect size and had enough pockets to keep everything that I needed safe. It’s a beautiful looking bag too, and one that I know would look better as it ages.”<\/p>\n

“I found the leather 13″ Portfolio<\/a> was just the right size to house my MacBook, business cards, 2017 Planner<\/a> and Journal<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

John likes to walk through Glasgow Green Park<\/a> for inspiration and he jots down ideas in his Runwell Planner<\/a>, an essential tool to help him meet deadlines. He also uses The Canfield 43mm<\/a> to keep track of time as he strolls through the 136-acre park, one of the city’s oldest and most beautiful public spaces. <\/p>\n

“The Canfield 43mm Watch<\/a> has a stainless steel bracelet with a deep midnight blue dial. I loved the attention to detail, especially the diamond-cut hands and coin edge detailing on the case,” he says. <\/p>\n

John relies on his phone to produce fresh content when he’s on the go. “The leather wrapped phone case<\/a> and square bifold wallet<\/a> are two items I continuously reach for. The spruce and burgundy leather colors really pop.”<\/p>\n

John frequently creates a makeshift office inside Hutchesons<\/a>. “As much as I reply on my computer and phone for work, I do like to keep a journal too,” he says. “I find when I travel it is a great way to jot down ideas for pitches and projects.
