Now in its third year, Shinola invites you to celebrate Makers Monday on November 30th, 2015\u2014 created to celebrate the excellence of craft and support the local makers and businesses that craft products in the towns, cities and neighborhoods where we live.<\/p>\n

We designed our Makers Monday website to act as a curated hub which spotlights makers nationally. In addition to encouraging shoppers to Buy Maker, the site provides a place for makers themselves to sign up for inclusion.<\/p>\n

This year we are opening up our website and coverage globally, beginning with the UK. <\/p>\n

We also partnered with Maker.Me, the invite-only site that allows makers to display their craft and connect with other makers and manufacturers. The Makers Monday homepage (www.makersmonday.com<\/a>) has launched today and features selected profiles as a database for consumers to find participating makers whose businesses manufacture over 50% of their high-quality goods locally.<\/p>\n

The community of makers around the world is growing, and we wanted to join in the pursuit of well-made, thoughtful product with an emphasis on design and craft. It was just an idea, but it\u2019s one we are pledging to stick behind. Will you?<\/p>\n
